And you are probably here in search of answers to questions that other people don’t seem to have. I can’t promise you’ll find the answers here, but I can promise that the questions here will go through a rigorous path of logic in the hopes of helping you find your answers.
About Me
On July 01, 2001, I was driving from Austin, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina. I had just spent the last two years dropping out of the University of Texas and throwing raves at one of the best venues in the Midwestern United States. I lost more than all of my money, was leaving the best friends of my life, had over $10,000.00 in audio equipment stolen, and, at 20 years old, was going to live with my parents until I got back on my feet…however long that would take.
I was psychologically deflated.
But, there was a part of me that had the biggest grin you could imagine. How could I not? I had spent the last two years pushing every boundary for myself that I could find. I didn’t know how, but I knew that it would be one of the most significant turning points in my life.
For the next six years, I would redefine myself several times over, again pushing various limits of myself. I would eventually come to grow and lead the largest team of search engine marketers in the world. I became the Vice President of a new online marketing company and began pushing new boundaries in management and organizational philosophies which lead to amazing increases in profitability, productivity, and employee morale.
After a series of work and personal events, I found myself at a point where I needed to re-evaluate my life and what I really wished to get from it. I promptly quit my job, decided to move to Los Angeles, and went to work for myself in search of fulfilling the lifestyle I had always been in search of.
Through all of that, though I certainly don’t have all of the answers or questions, I’ve learned a thing or two about a thing or two. It is my commitment to you to share these experiences and lessons in a way that you can intelligently apply to your life. You may not agree with everything I say, and I actually hope you don’t. Rather, I hope that the questions along my path will help with the questions that you have on your path through life.
In short…Ben Wills, a twenty-something, rock climber, online marketer, proud college dropout, self-education addict, entrepreneur, champion drinker, over-analyzer, dance floor destroyer, former rave-thrower, cognitive explorer, iron chef and self-proclaimed fashion maven who wishes to live the lifestyle that he wishes to live. Whatever that means at the time.
